Default GSR7017 LMT connecting GSB1030 Solved

Hi, I just got this BEC for my new Goblin and I am using the switch. But they are not clear on connecting the "Switches" the GSB 1030P has a set of wires (3 wires on a connector - Red, white & black) then a second connector on 1 plug that is a single yellow wire. And the manual says Connect a compatible switch on the "switch:" connector. OK but where does the Yellow wire go.

Not very impressed, for this expensive of a BEC, I guess I should plug it in anywhere its ok it will work

can someone shed some light?? I'm sure its been asked before.

Ok I saw a picture of the 7017 on the Quasar site, shows the switch attached with the yellow wire plug going into the Aux port "sig" line. why cant they just say that in the manual. Ya I know it seems the only place for it to go, but come on, I don't just plug stuff in without knowing for sure.

Right now this BEC has a D- it better work great!! First time using this.

Angry

I have powered it up, and something is not correct. First let me say that I did see a picture of the second "yellow wire plug" on Gryphon's site. So now I had the Plug in the switch, I expected to plug the battery in and nothing happen (all blades off the heli) But the heli powered up full. I checked to see if I had the plug not fully in the switch, and the heli did drop power. But if you move the "pin with the red flag" around slightly the heli will power up easy (without removing that plug). like a semi loose connection, this is not right. When powered, The Blue light comes on, I put a low battery in and the red light came on also. But this pin is not a secure thing, slightly bump the pin and the heli will power on. This connection is no good.

So to sum up the switch seems to work, but the plug does not shut the heli off when you plug it in. You have to have the plug in just the right spot. no good!!

Help, I want to like this setup! but I'm real close to pulling it.

Hi

Did you wire as per this image?

If you did so, - then It seems like something is wrong. - The switch seems to have a fail, so i would not use it. maybe talk to the shop where you bought it, and they can replace it?

Best regards

Yes, that looks like the picture I found on the Gryphon site. So yes I hooked it up like that picture, it was the only way that made sense. I think I got a defective switch, not real happy with this product at this point. HeliDirect is sending me a new one, but they want me to pay to return the bad one. I don't know another industry that does this when they send you a defective part. Probably should have went with a 2s lipo, that's what I get for trying new stuff.

By the way, thanks for your post! Not a lot of people in this thread so it's hard to get a reply. I appreciate your help

Your welcome :-)

Don't be afraid to use it when you got a new one.
Yours the first one I've heard having a failure.

Normally they work great.

I don't know how the law is in your country, but I'm not sure the shop has to say the shipment?

Anyway, I hope you will have a working pin switch in the end, and it will satisfi you :-)

Best regards

I have gone this far, I will keep going. Don't like that it's on a Goblin 700. It would be cheaper on a Align or something else. I just expected better from all the things I have read about this BEC

I understand :-)

I'm sure the BEC will work great.
It's just the pin switch that have a failure.

I use this bec in beam600, kds innova700, gaui x7, agile7.2 and raptor e700.
And never head a single issue with any of them.
I trust them, and I'm sure it will work very well in your goblin too :-)
