Default Concept 30 clutch/fan stuck

Hi all,

Looking at replacing the clutch on my Concept 30 SR-T

I've undone the nut on the crank and removed the starter cone, but no matter what , I can't seem to get the fan to budge at all. The parts diagram on Tailwinz shows a simple slotted shaft to locate the fan and clutch drum etc. with only a single nut, so it should just slide off?

Any tips on how to get it off?

Solved! For anyone how is wondering later on with the same issue, the plastic cooling fan screws off and was simply well stuck on, and you'll need to stop the engine from turning to remove it.

I removed the carburettor on the engine and rotated the crankshaft so the intake slot lined up with the carburettor opening

I then placed a wooden dowel into the opening so when the fan is turned the carb intake slot will wedge against the dowel and stop the shaft from turning. You may need a lot of force to unscrew the fan and I'd advise using a shirt or rag over the fan so not to cut your fingers.

Also important is to use a wooden down so as not to mark or dent the metal in the intake, as wood can flex more

Hope this helps someone who needs to do the same!
