First 450 size
The 450x is my first larger heli. It is amazing, stable, and powerful. I just had a close call with the ground. Some how I was flying with full throttle and the stock battery went dead after 2 1/2 minutes. Luckily I was able to control the landing get it from over the top of a tree and bring it down the rest of the way with throttle hold. It hit the ground hard on the skids and only got a bit dirty. Anyone else have trouble with stock batteries? I normally balance charge, it had been setting a couple days though.

Did you check the voltage before and after you flew it? That's the most important thing to know. Otherwise it's a guessing game. I've always found the stock EFlite 2200mah 30C packs to be fairly good quality.

Get a battery checker!!! Check the pack right before you fly EVEN IF YOU JUST TOOK IT OFF THE CHARGER.....
This one is what just about everyone uses... Has saved me multiple times Oh....... And get a good charger.... Those included E-Flite chargers are literally garbage and will kill your packs....

I get 4 minutes with the stock batteries. Got 2 of them. No bad experience here... I check the voltage right before I put the battery in the heli. I have 8 packs, get mixed up easy... :-)

I am using a I charger 206b. I normally see the voltage before it gets unplugged maybe a voltage checker is a good idea though. Eflite batts have always been good until this one. Maybe it just needs to break in, its only got around 2 flights on it.

The stock battery that comes with the 450x is generally pretty darn good, especially for an e-flite battery as they don't have the best rep. I've still got my original in heavy rotation after two years of weekly flying and I can't tell the difference between it and any of my brand new 60c Turnigys. I would definitely top up my batteries if I was leaving them for a couple days before running them, otherwise I wouldn't be surprised to experience what you had happen.
I run 3:30 on my transmitter's timer for all my 2200mah batteries, and I'm running a 3400Kv motor from HobbyKing. I'd go longer, but I like having a big buffer. Good luck!

Usually the most common reasons for a LVC mid-flight (as I see it): 1) battery wasn't fully charged (done this on my Nano CPx more than once) 2) forgot to set timer (done this once on my 450x, a few times on the Nano) 3) You are running higher headspeed than you intended (thus running the battery down quicker) 4) bad battery Use your charger and check the internal resistance of the suspect battery, but being that new, it *should* be fine. It certainly doesn't hurt to cycle the battery a few times when it's new, but I used the crappy stock charger the first time and run it in the heli and it worked fine (got a new charger soon after!)
