Default a solution to bolts breaking on the follower arms on the low head. idea

I bent the regular head in a crash so I figured it is time for the low head. don't want bolts breaking and just thought of a simple solution just drilled the follower arm holes out to remove the threads use a longer bolt with a nylock nut so if the bolt breaks it is easy to remove.

I was afraid this could happen (screws snapping in the low FBL head) and retained the plastic part from the FBL conversion of the regular head piece.

Hope you saved the little lip where the inner bearing race of the follower arm rides on, could lead to binding if not. Maybe you could also countersink the nut into the head for a cleaner look? Good thinking otherwise, post up some pics!

I'm with Chris on this... I've had tons of crashes on the low head over thousands of flights, stripped or broke virtually everything on the heli but never had to replace these bolts. I don't see a way to break them unless you stick a screwdriver into the rotating head.

I have just head several people talking about the bolts breaking. if I did it I would use a 2mm drill to just remove the treads. can't really countersink the nut or you could not tighten it.
