I called Chuck 2 weeks ago and got lucky, had 2 unreserved kits on last shipment, should have it this week. He mentioned there was another shipment due in 2-3 weeks.
Oh, and check pm's

I'm confused with this process with places like Peak Helicopter. It seems that they generally have no kits in stock and ask for deposit of 500.00 bucks to place an order to Germany which takes 2 to 4 weeks.

The convenience of have kits available and ready to ship is the point of having distributors.

What the point with this if I can just easily go directly to the minicopter site and make that same order myself ?

Depends where you live, in north america as you and I are it makes more sense. Larger shipments, cost reduction and well Chuck is a great guy and you'll get it all as fast anyhow. I was told same as you and have no problems with it now as chuck is on the ball. The euro peeps and the kangaroo peeps well it makes sense for these folks getting it from Germany.

well this is unfortunate cause I can't get a bloody order in with Peak.
The process is so painful.

send an email wait for a response... send paypal address wait .. no response or invoice.

They never have any kits in stock and now I forced to use this process.
What is the point.
Its not better service or any cheaper or faster. Still have to wait 2 to 4 weeks plus 500 deposit.

As much I like the machine I may have to pass. Can't imagine what it must be like trying to get parts when you need them.

Sorry for the rant.
Its a bad sign when I can't even get the ball rolling on an order and now unable to order directly .

well on too the TDR for me

If you orden direct you have more choices as well regarding canopy and a few other options. The wait is longer though. When I consulted it was more expensive too. Luckily I could order direct.

Actually its cheaper for me directly from mini-copter rather then ordering from US distributor. Not including shipping/paypal fee/ or custom duties
At least $200.00 cheaper based on the current exchange rate

current kit price is 798.32 EUR => $1031.49 CND

I have too mention as busy as Gerd is he has been very good responding too emails and answering questions.

It must be very busy times for minicopter as the wait time for kits is a little longer now.

unfortunately I live in canada by the time I get my diabolo it will probably start snowing

The other unfortunate timing is that 2 months from now the LOGO 700 will be released and since that will also be a kit that can take a very substantial motor it will definitely be a direct competitor.

However I imagine that when the Kosmiks get here there will be a number of people wanting to see how hard they can push these things.

Yes

this is the dilemma I'm facing.
logo 700 or Diabolo ah my head hurts

if both kits where available today I would still get the Diabolo however Logo 700 parts availability may win me over.
Besides the amazing customer support from ReadyHeli is major factor for me.

I still have not received a purchase order for a Diabolo kit from the US distributor .
One week and still waiting. Oh boy.

I'm not really itchy at the moment, but I am really happy with my TDR and I have a spare kit for parts. A LOGO 700 Extreme will probably even have a more robust drive train than the Diabolo.

That's a pretty bold statement - what do you base that on ? have you had hands on a Diabolo?
