Default Any chance JLog will support VControl telemetry?

As the title states. Plan on getting a VControl, but not getting my favourite JLog telemetry will be missed.

Oh, this question has been asked so often..

No, Mikado denies every cooperation.
Last time in summer I offered Uli (Ulrich Röhr, Vbar developer and inventor) any form of support.
Uli: I fear: no chance.

That's business. They sell Kontronik's ESCs, they cooperate with them only.
...even if that will take an eternity.

Man's will is his heaven.

Thanks Tom, as always an honest answer. Will pester Uli in the VStabi forums....

Hmm.. They do not like that, of course, especially not in public.

Luckily the VControl is a secret owners only forum. Have seen a lot of users have asked for JLog support over there, their answer is always why only Kontronik, so they do not know that JLog supports more than K......

They know it, of course. They even own themselves JLogs.

As I said: They (do not) want it. They (do not) get it. What can I do?

Apparently they are working with Kontronik on a TelMe module that supports VControl:

Quote:
Mikado VBar Control, VStabi NEO und KONTRONIK KOSMIK, JIVE PRO

We are pleased to inform you about the cooperation between two worldwide headliners in innovative radio control systems and electric speed controllers and motors, to provide data exchange between both systems.

In late summer of 2016 we plan to release the link between the two worlds, the interface between VBar NEO and VBar Control and the TelMe module for KONTRONIK JIVE PRO and KOSMIK.

With this interface and KONTRONIK's TelMe module, you will get telemetry data for the above mentioned devices directly onto your VBar Control's display. It will no longer be necessary to use other sensors or telemetry solutions.
Maybe it'll be possible to reverse-engineer the telemetry protocol between the TelMe module and the VBar?

Will see. Need to get it in my hands. They encrypt the payload, guess why.

This is one reason that I plan to stick with Jeti. VBC is impressive, BUT the closed system they are pushing really rubs me the wrong way.

Jeti is busy adding new features and accessories too, and I like the TX a lot better.

I fear I may be joining you soon. I don't want the bulky current sensors on my heli's and have a really bad taste in my mouth with Kontronik. US support is pathetic, especially at the prices they charge.

The lack of Jlog support is a major reason I bailed on the Vcontrol.

So far I've done well with Kontronik, but I'm hearing things that have me concerned since the company was sold. I have a NIB Kosmik Cooler 200 that I ordered with my TDR2 and I've heard that some arrived Dead in box.

As long as it works I'll continue to have all Kontronik ESC's.

OTOH they have the new Kosmik 300A coming and the Pyro 1000 so they are at least still creating new products.

So far my JLog Jeti telemetry solution is working great.

I've got my DS-16 completely ergonomically tweaked for me. Since no other TX out there will allow me to get to this point I'm pretty well handcuffed myself to it. That said I still love my DS-16 and have ZERO regrets. Or maybe I should say I'm happily handcuffed to the bed with a big grin on my face
