Default Asking for Advice. Building a Beast.

I'll be working on turning the ol' second-hand beater into my pride and joy.

Before:

Scorpion 4035 500kv @ 100% ungoverned
ICE2 120
2200mAh LiFe
Align DS610's w/ Savox 1290MG on the tail
Radix 690/ Rail 105
iKon
25c Gens 5300's

After:

Xnova XTS 4530 525kv
Scorpion Commander 160A 59V
RJX 40A BEC
Xpert R2's w/ R2T
Spin Black Belt 120's
iKon 2 BT
45c Pulse 5000s Green Label / 30c/80c Optipower 4300s

I know there is going to be a lot more forces trying to rip the heli apart with the better parts. My flying style also incorporates a lot of collective and cyclic stabbing (think pop-and-lock tic-tocs in all orientations.) I also like switching from extremely low HS (1200-1300ish ungoverned) to high HS mid-flight.

What special precautions, if any, would you take during this rebuild and setup?

You shouldnt have any issues with the x7 flying it the way you do. Its a solid heli just like it is.

What controls your spool up rate when you do this?

I am using the stock pinion that came with the V1 kit. I have been doing it with the ICE120 without issue and without too much heat. I was thinking the Scorp would run cooler with active freewheeling.

Previously the change was somewhat gradual with the ICE 2. I haven't yet tested it with the scorpion.

Edit: I misspoke - I did have the ESC governed, however the setup didn't hold it very well...

That thing looks sick! Love the green/blue canopy and boom cover, look amazing.
