Default NX4 Cooling Fan

Hello to all,

I'm not sure if this has been brought to the table or not but I wanted to share some info I looked into a little. I know there has been a lot of issues with the magnets coming off the Gaui Stock and I just so happen to have an Align 600 Nitro fan sitting around that I picked up and found some interesting info. Just thought I would share ... To me this is a better fix than " using a light coat of epoxy to cover the magnet "

The Pictures below are pictures of an Align 600 Nitro fan and a Gaui Nx4 Fan. The Align fan has a matte finish to the plastic where the Gaui fan has a shiny finish to it. The pictures show that the fan is the exact same size all the way around with the exception of the magnet hole of which I think maybe this could be the reason they are flying out. The Align fan has a little bit deeper of a hole ... It also feels like the ALIGN fan is a little bit more solid.. IMOP Ive never had an issue with my Align fans so it looks like Ill be going this route..

If you have it out, you might as well upgrade to a metal fan. Always found these to run smoother than any plastic fans.

Bought a metal fan for mine, just need to find the time to strip it out.

with over 30 flights on my stock fan, I never had a problem with it, took it out today, and installed a lynx alum fan,
inspected the stock fan, there was nothing wrong with it. in my parts box now.

I had a problem with the stock fan and went to the align and have two gallons on it and no problems at all.

Default magnet question

My NX4 is in the mail. I assume I can fly without a governor? But I would like to install the magnets just in case. Where are you finding spare magnets when you lose them? Thanks.

This is the one I used here

Comes with the magnets as well, so you can leave your plastic as a spare.

Cheers,
Simon
