Default logo 10 head upgrades

I have a 10 that had some crash damage and was thinking of streching it for 550 blades. I was thinking of upgrading to 14 blade grips at the same time for the 4mm bolt. It doesn't look to be to hard to upgrade the 10 head to a 14 but 1 other question comes to mind--

What size flybar are you guys running for a 550 bird? 450,500? and can you go to a 4mm flybar then?

Mine has the 400mm/3mm flybar with 550 blades. I don't think the 14 head on the 10 is really needed, because you will have to improve the 10 power setup to make it necessary and this means bigger blades 580/600 etc. So for me anyway, the weight of the head and flybar etc plays a bigger part in responiveness of the heli. The logo 10 head is plenty strong enough and the bigger dia flybar will slow down the cyclic. Hope this helps...

There really is not that much differece between the 10 and 14 head. They use the same yoke. It's really just the yoke shaft, blade holders and bearings that are different. I think the dampning rings are even the same. I am more curious to see if anyone is using a longer flybar with the 550+ blades.

So the 4mm x 450 flybar would be less responsive than a 3mm x 400? I would think it would give you more responsivness being longer.
