Do you guys use Velcro on the packs and the bottom tray or just Velcro straps. I've found getting the packs in and out a pain with Velcro, so I'm sure there must be a trick to doing this.
Thanks

The trick is to get a carbon fibre plate & use Velcro to mount the packs to the plate.
Use some more Velcro for the front of the plate to the heli frame.
Then use the battery straps to tie the whole lot together. Nothing will move then.

The trick is to only put velcro at the front of the frame so the rear pack is just strapped in.

How about Velcro at the front and the rubber bands? Is there something wrong with using the rubber bands?

I have some of the rubber bands but I've never used them. I've always used the rubberized velcro straps either sold by Mikado or others. I recently had a Gaui branded strap break on me so I don't think I'll be buying any more of those.

You can also use the pokey side of Velcro on battery and frame. It will slide with light pressure without strap and is locked down when you tighten the strap.

Velcro on the front and 3 Mikado straps (I have 10s stick packs) the mikado straps are rubberized and "stick" to the packs very good
