Default elevator input unwanted..

okay, still tweaking...

I am having an issue where unwanted elevator input is happening.

Im noticing this on the bench AND in flight.

on the bench : At any point of the collective range, if I give full back elevator stick and input aileron left and right, my center (elevator) servo will move up and down about 5 mm while i'm moving sticks left to right.

I not sure on which setting to change to prevent this from happening.

I've messed with servo endpoints and swash mix to no avail.

In the air it does some odd stuff if I'm inputting up elevator and add right or left ail, the elevator attitude will change frighteningly.

just for giggles, I booted up my old flybar 450. There is absolutly no elevator input while holding full up OR down elevator and giving aileron input. The elevator servo never moves.

PS. I posted a video, you'll see at full elevator (UP or DOWN) when aileron is given, the elevator position changes.

HELP lol

That is called "swash ring". It prevents mechanical binding on the swashplate. It keeps the swash always at the same angle to the shaft no meter what is the cyclic combination.

Its a checkbox you can cancel. Just verify you have no binding if you do.

There is a setting under the swashplate called "swash ring".
What it does is limit the swash cyclic. If you have 10 degrees of cyclic, a full right aileron give the blades a 10 degree cyclic input. ( 10 degrees is what the swash setup wizard recommends )
If you give the SK a full right aileron AND a full forward elevator input, you have 10 degrees of aileron and 10 degrees of elevator. Problem is you actually have 14 degrees of cyclic 45 degrees because of the 2 combined cyclic inputs.
"Swash ring" checked limits the cyclic to 10 degrees in any orientation.

I recommend you leave it turned on.

I am running version 4.05.

I also have advanced tab selected to see all options.

I do not see swash ring in here.

I remember seeing it in my old Skookum 360. But not here yet.

you are correct - it was in swashplate tab and it is not there anymore...
Anyway i wouldn't cancel it. make sure you have 10 deg cyclic and it shouldn't bother you. 11 is also OK.

Yup. Running 10 cyclic and 12 collective

I'm gonna give it another shot. It just freaked me out watching it on the bench

Geez, I learn something new here every time I log in. I didn't even notice the latest version took that option out until you pointed it out.
