Default Austin Heli Fest, Austin TX, April 13,14,15 2012

It is now time to start working on preparing for the Austin Heli Fest. Last year we had great success and a lot of fun with 86 pilots attending. We will continue the tradition of flying under the Tower lights at night.

We will provide 110Volt power again with lots of places to plug in.

3D Non-sponsored, 3D Sponsored, Autorotation Contest, Drag Racing, Intermediate contest, and more... We will try to keep as many flight stations open during the contest.

Pro Pilots with some exciting noon demos.

Fantastic prize drawings.

Free pizza dinner Friday night for registered pilots.

Fajita dinner Saturday Night $13. Everyone is welcome.

Catch The event on Facebook.

That's what you said last year, as I recall.

It would be great to meet you face to face, especially if circumstances prevent me from coming out for the HF FF next year.

Experience is something you gain only after you need it.
I wouldn't mind social media so much if it didn't involve people.

Well, life gets in the way sometimes... Is RV camping available on-site? The drive is only about 20 hours (only.. lol) so wouldn't be too bad for pulling the Skiddzbox...

Default Skidbox or Bust!

Skiddz no need to bring that den of delights known as the Skidbox.... Although it would be welcome that is a long tow my friend! You can use "The Dog House"..... Heli nirvana on wheels..... It's the least I can do after you allowed me to enter "The Greatness that is the Skidbox".

20 hours would be a cakewalk compared to the 41 to IRCHA in '10.. ehehhe

If I don't bring it, can I poop backwards at 70 miles per hour?

If you come on an airliner you can poop sideways at 600 miles per hour!

Yes, RV camping is available on-site? First come First serve, but we usually do not run out. We have 14 outlets.

Cool.. I can dry-camp if necessary...

Pooping sideways at 600 mph just wouldn't be the same as backwards at 70 in the Dog House..

Oh, Bum.. I just realized why I couldn't make it last year.. I was in Jamaica with my best friend Marcia - the beachside bartender.

I'm going to try my best to at least make the drive from Houston for 1 day. My wedding is the following weekend so it is going to be a busy time for me.

It'll be good to see you again, Dennis. We'll probably end up setting up next to each other again. Why break tradition?

If all works out as planned, I'll be there. In 2009, getting there was a non-issue as it was only a 2 hour drive Hoping to make it back home to visit...what better a reason?!

I'm about 4 hours out in Arlington and I should be there for at least one or 2 days. Will be my first fun fly, sounds like fun.
