The 693 blades will work, but the disc loading will be a lot higher then if you would use something like the Rotor Tech (my favorite) or SAB 710mm units.

Even 720mm units would work better.

So with the shorter blades-how will it 'feel' opposed to using a longer blade? Thought less blade=less weight to spin= quicker? Or is it once it gets momentum going longer blade is easier to spin?
Also-I bought the Spectrum 7100 receiver with rev limiter-I can use this instead of a governor? What's a stator gator and do I need one with this setup? Thanks

Called Century, they anticipate a March release date for the Radikal 30 FBL kit. Excited about my next Heli.

I bought the RC Heli Mag issue with the Radikal G30 review. It got great scores except for the tail. To those of you how have the G30, does the tail really feel sloppy? Looking into getting this machine...

I have two 30's and I say not at all. I saw that same review you did and never did understand that score. Personally I think it was more about the reviewer preferring TT vs. Belt and less about the performance per say.
These were the first belt helis I have owned in a while and I must say I have grown to like them a lot. Almost zero maintenance, rarely gets damaged in a crash, etc.

my 2 cents

Yea. Totally agree with you. I never did put too much weight on reviews when it comes to choosing helis. Everybody has different tastes and talents.

Really wanting this heli since the first time I saw the video from the Century webpage: man I was frozen for a while: never seen a big gasser move that fast!

I have a few flights on my 30 and no issues-bit have read that they will release a TT upgrade sometime in the future. They you'll have a choice-can't ask for more!

Wow! Great news indeed! Only consideration will be the parts support. I live in the Philippines and still waiting for a reply if their Taiwan dealer sells parts online and if they ship 'em out.

Already have the perfect servos for the Radikal G30: Savox's new High Voltage SC-1268MG 361 oz-in of torque baby!

I have a friend who is doing a build on the G30. His paddles are slightly canted. See the picture. Is this normal for is heli or is there a defect?

Did you guys screw them on directly onto the flybar? Or did you tap them with a 4mm tap first?

I can't say as I am not the builder, but were you supposed to tap them first? I would think tapping it only makes sure it threaded correctly, but it wouldn't take care of a misalinged hole that was drilled, before tapping, know or no?

It is actually more easy to tap them at an angle then if you just screw them in directly. That is why i asked. Usually if you screw them on directly, so that your flybar threads do the threading, they will screw on straight...and also be more secure.

As for the mainshaft bending, are you saying it bent without the blades touching the ground??

Ordered mine today. This will be my first gas heli. I'm looking forward to long fllight times and lower fuel cost.
What is the fuel mixture for the BH G26? I have a DLX 111 in a 35% Yak and hope to use the same fuel.

Thanks,
Lance

24 to 1 for break in then 32/1 .is what most people are running.just make sure you get an oil designed for premix and not an injection oil.

The Yak burns a 30:1 mixture. I use Castrol TTS (same oil I use in my ultralight) It's harder to find but worth the effort in my opinion.
I've built and flown all the nitro Trex kits, a RJX Xtreme 50 and some small electrics. Also have 35 years experience building and flying planks. I love to build!!
Sold my Trex 700 in anticipation of the G-30 and am building a Trex 600 this week so I still have a nitro heli to fly. Life is good

I agree, your 30:1 with that oil should do fine.

Good to hear I can use the same fuel. Another question if I may..........The Century web site suggests using a GV-1. I have an Aspire governor that is not being used. Is there a unique feature on the GV-1 or is it just popular? I fly curves on my nitro and electric helis.

Thanks,
Lance
