Enjoying the first handful of setup flights. Then I can swap to the retracts, with a different motor and blade setup for speed runs

I swapped to the Pyro 850-50 comp, xblades and started upping the head speed and pitch! It still needs more FBL tuning and some more weight in the front, but it's starting to feel better! Still not even had ten flights, so there's a lot more to come.

TDR II 16° @ 2,500rpm (1 min 52 sec)

Up to 16.5° @ 2,700rpm today it’s feeling really good! With some more nose weight and FBL tweaks I've got rid of the porpoising in the previous video.

running this nice and lovely machine now with 766 Rails at 1080rpm, 1650rpm and 1850rpm - awesome!

Coming soon, rebuilt TDR2 with glass bead blasted aluminum (like the banshee).

Just wet-glass-bead-blasted all the aluminum components a couple days ago after work, IMHO looks better than the stock polished surface.

I blasted all the parts in the wet glass bead blaster at work. Like a sand-blaster except it's high-pressure water & air & glass bead granules.

All the parts where coated in the corrosive lipo chemical powder after my kosmik exploded and shorted the batteries while in flight.... I chucked the TDR2 in my shed for a couple months to forget about it, which lead to further surface staining. But now I'm back onto the TDR2, starting with complete disassembly and blasting the aluminum.


This is how the parts surface looked before blasting:
