In many situations in our hobby, our work, our social relationships, we find ourselves prone to speculation, examining tea leaves, trying to piece together clues...

After a while, it becomes so tedious.

So I say the hell with it: somebody put a date on the table and lets see who wants to bet the over and who wants to bet the under.

:-D

Default Is the Prôtos 700 really coming out in April?

Corrado did say Q2.
So I guess the middle of Q2, June 1st will be the date to throw down.
Who's going under?
Who's going over?

Sometimes I don't mind it... BTW my reading into (insert your favorite method/body parts/wooden pieces/etc) says that soon after P700 is established, early to mid 2014 we'll see stretch kit to 800-820 as well.

How I see it either MSH Protos 700 or Gaui X7 will get my money in the 700 class especially if they are in the same price range. One of these two will be my next big heli when the time comes.

not pushing for an early release, is a sign of them takeing QC and testing seriously, the way I see it. also with sucess of msh brain/ikon I guess they are a buzy bunch

Ill buy one when it comes, but I wont be hitting reload in msh protos forum section to see for news

I would rather see an unstretch kit lol! I would love to see a kit to shorten the 700 to a 600 class. That way I could use my 6s 3300mah batteries from my strech protos 500 in series for a 12s set up. Should not be a big deal. Shorter boom, control rod and boom supports and appropriate size tail gear for proper tail speed. Motor with appropriate kv should not be a problem to find.

The problem with shrinking a 700 is that you're messing with the disc loading of a model in a negative way. This is never a good solution. A 700 needs a much more rigid / robust frame design which adds to the weight of model.

In the end, you'd end up with a very heavy 600 like the Goblin 630 if you shrink a 700. Another good example is the Synergy E6. It's pretty much displaced by the new E5 in stretch form because it's lighter and more robust in 12S configuration, and will swing 600 sized blades.

If you want to use your 3300's, you may be able to squeeze them into the a Compass 6HV (or wait for the new 6HV V2) or the Synergy E5. These are far better choices than shrinking a 700. Maybe a Protos 550 or 600 with a stretch kit instead?

With MSH history of light weight helis, I'm betting that the disk loading of the 700 will be extremely low. This will make a "shrunk" 600 have the disk loading of any other 600mm blade heli out there...in theory at least. Matt

Wow, you guys are loyal for sure. I can't believe people are still holding out for the P700. Speed to market definately is not in their vocabulary. No detailed photos released yet. I'd say you will be lucky to see it in 2013. I love my stretched 500 but I've bought two new helis in the last year. I wish one of them had been a P700 but I'm done for awhile.

I couldn't wait. Went Rush 750 instead. Glad I did. But I'll be watching the P700 release very closely.
