Hi K2Freak,
Some times it takes a louder voice to be heard above the dull roar of thee crowd.
I only meant to point out my feelings and true, that others here, had been getting dealt a different hand. From a new deck. Heck, what about me, can I play too? Parts in the mail!!

Sorry for sounding smug or better than thou, but dammit, I demand to be listened too.
I payed dearly for this Super Combo kit, so it better be super. Nothing else will suffice.

I have already apologized to those whom were directly affected by my harsh words.
So Sir, I honestly haven't any more to relate to you about it.

As far as herby the love bug being a topic, probably best to leave those kind remarks on a 4:20pm forum...
Thanks for uber-understanding.

Ah, please don't smoke cannabis resins and fly your expensive helicopters.
Sir, that will also void your warranty... and dissolve our friendship.

Chas

I too learned setup by crashing the shit out of pretty much every one of the twenty helis I've built. Didn't consort with a pro, didn't use a sim, didn't ask a whole lotta questions. I just faired forth and demolished some shit. And I still have all my fingers and toes (got all my teeth too). I did, however, more or less start with a T450 (which I crashed every other day and twice on Tuesdays) and work my way up: a CX2, an MSR, a 200mm heli, 3x 325mm helis, 4x 425mm helis, a 470mm heli, 3x 500mm helis, 3x 600mm helis, and finally, 3x 700mm helis (not in that exact order). And I do use a sim now. Prolly not the most economical approach but when you're as thick-skulled as I am, nothing else will do. Just don't kill yourself or anyone else. And if you do, be sure to get some video. Seriously dude, be careful. A 90 size electric will straight take your head off - for realz.

Okay, bring on the hate-a-thon!

I sometimes wonder how I ever made it to where I am in this hobby without proper guidance in the start.
It's a dead set miracle I made it up and over the initial (and huge) learning curve.
I'm sure I would never be where I am now if I jumped in the deep end with a 700 as my first heli. It would have been expensive and de-motivating.
The only way to go down this rout is with lots of help from an expert with setup and fight training. Not to mention heaps of Sim time.

Good luck to you sladex, I do hope you still have the heli bug in a years time, I know I've seen many lose motivation and love for this hobby from hitting the wall trying to get over the learning curve and have spent a lot less money than you.

I agree, sounds like those weren't the correct people to go to in the first place if they couldn't set up the tail.

I seem to remember your tail swing to the left on spool up?
This points to the gyro not compensating the right way, imo.

I dont have the AR7200 but you need to check your gyro NOR/REV in your Tx. (dx8 right?)

The tail slider needs to move the opposite way to where you're pushing the boom on your preflight check.

So you want me to swing the helicopter to the left or right and check if the tail slider on the tx moves the other way

Ok......so now you cant even move the tail via your tx either?

It might pay to take a photo of your Ar72000 wiring setup, and post it here.

I can move the rudder via tx but not via moving the helicopter

It would probably also help if you could note down all of your Tx settings, channel assignments etc so we can get a better overall picture of whats going on. Along with those wiring pics.

We're going round in circles at present
