Default Helicommand 3D pilot gain question

Hi,

I have a question, Ive been flying with the default setting for awhile now. With the pilot gain at 70%. I want to make the helicopter feel more natural now. Which are the settings I should change? I have already changed the following.

Pilot gain - To 40%
Total Sensor gain - To 6
Expo - to 6

I have also increased the setting in the Expert setting to let me take control of the helicopter sooner (first slider in the expert setting).

Am I doing things right?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Thanks,

But what settings should I change to make the heli feel more natural and not that co-axial feeling? Should I:

1) Lower the pilot gain even more, closer to 0? Btw, what does a negative value represent?

2) lower the total sensor gain
3) raise the expo slider
4) raise the expert setting slider for the stick override

Does that sound right?

raising the expo won't do it...dropping the gains a little at a time till you dial it in the way you like it

Positive gain gives position "green mode"
Negative gain gives horizontal "orange mode"
Zero gain -> no stabilization "red mode" but obviously the Helicommand still mixes the servos signals to perform CCPM.

I do not know the effects of "expert" adjustements .
