Default Discontinued?

My LHS told me this heli is discontinued after last weekend. Tell me it isn't so!

I just got off with HH and he really didn't know more than we do now but he commented that when one is discontinued they usually come out with a 2! Maybe a NANO CPX2! Hey, if they discontinue it there is going to be some dumping which translate into being able to pick up some good deals for parts, allowing you to continue to fly. I'll share and not buy up all the good deals!!

BNF version is still in stock at Horizon Hobby. It's also NOT on deep discount (which is the first sign a model is being discontinued). So RTF version may be around for at least another 6 months.

The nano is really the first entry level CP heli in Blade's range form there it's
mCPX BL, 180 CFX, 300 CFX, 450X. The 550X, 600X and 700X are all on deep discount and soon to go. The 130X and the 500X are already gone.

The mCPX BL and the 180 CFX are not really indoor helis. So the nano has it's own niche that nothing else in their line fulfills.

Quads are taking more of the line up now, and low power FPV is starting to entice the market.

Lets see where it goes from here.

I'm thinking since Blade released there optional brushless motor set-up for the NCPX, maybe soon we'll have a RTF BL Nano?

I hope this is the case. If not I'm just going to buy two more nanos to make sure I have a supply to last me the next few years!

This would be good, I could see it happen.

Would be nice. But they would introduce it at the same time they discontinue the nano (like they did with the 130X and the 180 CPX).

Outrunner BL nano (with BL tail) would be great. However a major overhaul of the 3-in-1 would be required to add a full BL ESC.

If Blade does make a BNF nano BL, I hope they can keep it 1S to keep the size down.

The current board is not that great anyway (many fail to bind issues). In addition to BL, they should also include a more durable canopy and skids. And improve the canopy posts.

Judging by the size of the 180 cfx fbl unit i think they are going to come out with a new nano and mcpx with piro comp. The 180 fbl unit is smaller than the mcpx bl unit.

I would imagine there are plans for a Nano V2. Perhaps brushless in stock form. The Nano is the one micro that i have continued to use, enjoy and learn from exclusively for indoor flying. It is a fantastic little thing even in stock form IMO. No after market bling needed (unless thats your thing) Its a feather weight little thing and i have never broken mine except for a few pairs of skids

Give me brushless and piro comp in the same size. And preferably the same batteries.

A new model? I'll take a Nano CPX with a reliable board. Thats ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS. I have (2) I need to replace on top of the dozen I've replaced over the last 2 years.
