Post Align 425 blades?

Anyone using the newer align 425 blades or have used them? Thinking about picking some up since they are so inexpensive. on my old trex 550, the align blades felt good. I wonder if it will be the almost the same performance on an atom.

I had to put a set on because of a crash late this summer. I don't like them. They aren't as responsive as the stock blades and they can make a disconcerting fluttering noise on hard stops. I'm going to be picking up either a set of KBDDs or Rail blades on black Friday.

If you're looking for less expensive blades, I have some RJXs on my Mini Titan that I like. Haven't tried them on the Atom, but might be worth a shot.

I haven't tried 425 aligns on my Atom but RJX 430's are what I have on at the moment. They fly descent enough for me. I got them from Hobby King for $25 or so.

Post Blades

Thanks, I was looking at the measurements of the compass blades 430mm x 44.75mm x 6.0mm versus the align blade 425mm x 42mm x 5.6mm and the 6mm vs 5.6mm has me wondering if I'll need new spacers. What did you use jweber? So the fluttering, what could cause it?

I just use a stock kit spacer.

I'm worried that the fluttering/buzzing sound is some type of delamination occurring so I'm not flying the Atom until I get a new set of blades. I could be wrong, but the heli/safety isn't worth the risk if I'm right.

Those hobbyking rjx blades are my best kept secret since ive tried them so this post will self destruct in 3..2..1.. but seriously I have a weird obsession with buying and testing out blades. Ive tried 430,470,550 and 600mm in the past year. My opinion is they fly better than rail. If you can convince yourself that the rails are equal before flying, and totally lose the stereotype of hobby king, the rjx are great. Its hard to.get over the placebo effect of those sexy looking rail blades.
