Default Compulsory RC warning messages/labels.

Hi guys. I've been flying toy choppers for a few years, and recently decided to get a Walkera X350 Pro.

I just took it for my 2nd test flight, and it decided to take off all by itself.

I turned on the controller, then the copter but the LED lights flashed left and right continuously.

After a brief moment trying to figure out what the flashing sequence meant.., the copter beeped, lit up and the propellers started spinning.

It jumped up and took off to my right, on about a 20 degree angle, but then flipped upside down about 10 meters away, and went into the ground.

The engines were still trying to run, and it was a struggle to disconnect the battery.

The thing is that there were 2 young kids near the area, who kept hanging around to watch it fly. I kept trying to explain that it was very dangerous, and I would need to wit until the area was clear before I tested it.

Although I really really just wanted to fly, I decided to wait until they we're bored enough to leave.

I'm glad I did.

I just wanted to say that I never expected anything like this to happen, and think that there should be more emphasis placed on safety.

I don't know what the message should be or where, but I can see that these things are dangerous for noobs like me.

Seriously? Read pages 1 and 2 of your manual. Link here: http://www.walkera.com/en/productinf...%20X350PRO.pdf

Kalif I'm glad you asked. Safety is an ongoing topic here and on other forums.

First off, welcome to HeliFreak. There are plenty of great people here willing to answer any questions you might have.

Edit: Ok just had a peek at your comment history since your join date says August 2014. Yes do be careful. Multi rotors can be every bit as dangerous as helis. Not sure what exactly the industry should do, but much more needs to be done to encourage the safe use of these very high powered fliers.

Maybe invest a few more dollars for a much smaller, tamer indoor flyer like a Blade Nano QX? Or another flyer that has prop guards.
