Hi guys im Matt 39 from Spalding Lincs UK, not sure if im doing this right but im sure ill find out when i submit this. Im a newbie and need all the help i can get off you guys if you dont mind. My first Heli was the Esky Belt Cp 450 because that was all i could afford and i didnt get on very well with her to be honest i think i only managed to hover her afew times most of that time it was take off and ram her into the ground everytime but then i came into some money and got myself abrand new trex 600 dominator a decent Dx9 and because of my past experience with my belt i thought id better get some sort of help with flying her and got the bavarian demon 3SX. So im here for some help to start enjoying this hobby with the least of money spent.

Sounds like you might have gotten a good deal. But to be honest sometimes it is better to go simpler and take smaller steps.

You should first get a computer simulator like the free demo of HeliX and a cheap USB controller that looks like an RC transmitter. Learn the basics and once you are comfortable start going for real.

If you have issues with making your real Heli to fly you should post pictures on the appropriate forum someone can help. But learn the basics with the Finless Bob videos or find a local club.

Honestly the way it looks like you want to get into the hobby is the most difficult, expensive and potentially dangerous.

Don't take this the wrong way. Sometimes it is better to scale back a little and you will have a more enjoyable experience. People here will help but over words and pictures there is so much that can be done.

Good luck!

Hi to all the newbies,

I see allot of you are new to the hobby welcome it's a great community. But its very easy to be disheartened if you don't get off on the right foot it's allot of discipline and practice.....

Before you all rush out and buy that big heli you must take baby steps first, I hovered and did orientation for 5mths flying nearly every day with a simple blade 200 SRX and my Phoenix simulator 5.5.

Its great to join a club as you progress into bigger helis.

It's a must to complete these exercises until your competent and safe to fly.

Please follow these links -
rc helicopter flying lesson 1, what you need to know before you can fly great 3D (4 min 25 sec)

RC helicopter lesson 2 basic forward and backward flight and why its important (3 min 8 sec)

video lesson 3, actual flying, easy turns, transition those into banked turns, how to do stall turns (7 min 40 sec)

Stick with it and you will progress.....

Cheers

I'm from Orlando. I have been flying a year or so bought a blade 230s and upgraded to a 360 cfx. I thought it would be nice to have access to some detailed info when in doubt.

Hi and welcome!

I am not familiar with the area but at least close to Orlando is TORCHS one of the biggest heli clubs there are. You should check that out for sure. It is also home of the OHB event the second biggest event after IRCHA who has just finished last week I believe. Point is you are in a really good are with plenty of pilots that I am sure are more than willing to help.

And actually I started with almost the same helis

You won't be able to send a PM until your account is cleared. Just post in the the for sale thread.

Hehe. Yes that seems to be the case for a while now. Although Wargamer does a pretty good job on that on the New User Introductions beating me to it sometimes.

Default Hello

I live near the gas station. There seems to be no other pilots nearby. I hope we can get along well.

Ignore this post and account.
It is trolling HF by Feather Project on a clone account.
