I didn't think it through that far... but I'd say Larry is the one that would remember the 2 sets of wool gloves...

If Larry and Michael are going to be like that, I may have to rethink the whole "sharing a camper with them" thing....

I see Kyle Stacey is now registered so I guess that's a pretty good indication that he will be there for sure. Man he did some epic flights last year.

They're really about the same distance, just different directions.

That could mean so many things. As long as it's legal in Oregon, I'll be happy to assist.

Well I'll be flying out to the US in a day and a half and will be making my way to the fun fly mid way through my trip.

Ken at Lower Heli and his mate Robert have supplied and built me a new Black Nitro or 'Nitro Thunder' as Ken has called it and are just about to break in the YS96. When I get there I'll be throwing my own FBL and RX in her and hopefully I'll have a ball for four days straight with all of you.

Now I have a query that is not fun fly related however I'm hoping you guys could help me out. Which is the best phone carrier to buy a sim card from to get data on my iPhone? Not necessarily looking for the biggest data quota, but would rather one with very good coverage across the country as I'll be travelling extensively.

Matt

Damn dude. Australlia? Awesome. Glad you are able to get to the funfly. I guess you will hold the record for furthest to get to the funfly for a long time.

Either Verizon or AT&T will serve you well for coverage. They each have areas where one is better than the other, but among all the carriers, those two are far above the rest (for coverage.)

The other question would be - which kind of Sim can your iPhone handle. AT&T and Verizon are different networks. Sprint, Verizon and U.S. Cellular use CDMA. AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM. Most of the rest of the world uses GSM

Thanks for everyones help, I'll check out some plans when I hit LA. The model is the global A1688, so shouldn't have any trouble with LTE, GSM or CDMA.

Starting to get ready, got my generator today, good deal from woot.com, $379.00 for a 2000 watt inverter. No more bumming power this year. Also got night kit for my 230S, I ordered it from nitro hobbies in New York Tuesday night, got it in Oregon this morning, amazing service. 20 Min. To put the lights on, mount the night blades, just took it out in the drive way, to test fly, looks cool! After that I went back to the work bench, and finally finished the air frame build on my Goblin 500 S, been building it for three weeks now, a few hours at a time, when I can get the time. Hope to get the icon set up this weekend. Time to pack the car for flying tomorrow morning.

I almost got a generator, but then realized it wouldn't even fit in my car. So I'll still be bumming this year unfortunately.

I'll have my Honda 2000 with me and probably won't be doing much flying 😉, so people can use mine. Just come find me...
