Default Sbus to Sk540 Power Connection

I am putting a sbus rx on a nitro heli. If I am reading the manual right I only need a jumper wire from rx to IO-B port?

This gives me power to the receiver?

Does the jumper wire keep the signal, negative, and positive input?

Does this mean only one lead plugs in to the receiver from sk540?

I will be powering everything with a 2s Life. As far as that goes I just use a servo connector and remove the signal wire, plug into an open port on the sk540. Then on the other end put my power poles for plugging in the battery (rx pack)?

Sorry for so many ?'s I tried to space it all out so it could be quoted and answered.

The single wire supplies power to the RX, it also carries the signal.

So yes, 1 cable is all that is needed.

Is that the proper way to get power to everything?

Yes, power the SK, from the ESC or BEC, then let the ESC power the RX.

I am running nitro so I dont have a ESC. Do I need to get a BEC? Or can I run the 2sLife straight into the SK?

Assuming all your servos are OK with straight LiFe (6V rating or better) then there is no problem there. The SK is fine with any voltage up to (and exceeding) 2S LiPo.

Found out the answer in the sk540 manual. If I am using a servo extension plugged into the life pack to power the sk540. Is there any concern with the gauge of the servo extension. Considering that wire is sending the power throughout all the servos.
