Storm 450 any good?
Does anyone have experience with the Storm 450? It seems to be a well built bird, but it looks like it's only available from helipal.com, so I wonder if it isn't some sort of house brand. Are the Storm branded electronics any good, or should I go with the bare bones kit? I'm especially interested in the carbon fiber version. Thanks

Hi,
If your talking about the twister storm 3D - then yeah it rocks. All parts from the Blade 400 fit it as well. I have one - here is one of my flights with it all in stock form. Since then I have put on the copterX metal head & tail (Alu grips & block) & they fit just fine. (if you go there use the twister belt) and I have recently upgraded to a copterX CX500 as well. The RTF kit I got came with the Hi-Tech optic sport 6 radio system - if you can its a good starter - but if you want to stick with it get a DX6i or other 2.4ghz system. The stock servo's are good - better then the blade 400's which is why I choose it. But you will want to upgrade them anyway when you can to 65HB's(hitech) also the stock gyro does the job.. but again when you get the chance grab a HG5000 hitech gyro or a GY401 |
