Default Flat landing gear

I'm flattening out my landing gear learning autos, any tips out there for how to reform them? Boiling water?

PS. At least eight really hard "landings" and it just kept getting up for more. Unbelievably tough! (Mashed cf side frame and canopy ear - but nothing terminal)

Hmm dunno, but it gave me an excuse to "upgrade" to yellow skids (still gorilla gear obviously).

And yeah as long as you land on the skids, you'll mostly end up with no damage at all, that's the beauty of those flexible skids.

Once you start to deform them it gets tougher to get them back. Leave a set of rubber bands or zip ties around skids and hang when not in use to take pressure off. Order new set and try to gently apply heat with hair dryer, while they are banded in position then let them stay like that for a while. If it doesnt work, install new pair.

I've reshaped mine many times with a mini heat gun - works very well.
