Hi lightfighter. Although I haven't used a 720 yet so haven't had a chance to program the self level myself I did find this thread and it appears that you can use a DX6i. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...ighlight=level

It will work fine, but you will only have the ability to control one set of banks. The SK software will allow you to have two different tail banks with various settings in them, and two different cyclic banks, and you can switch between the two in flight with channels on your TX. You won't have enough channels on your DX6i to do both, so most will set up the cyclic bank to be functional since that is where the self leveling function is, and just lock the tail settings to one setting and be done with it. IMO there isn't any real need to be switching tail gains during flight once you have it set up the way you want anyway.

There is also the possibility to do some mixing of the channels in the TX so you could control two functions with one channel if you wished.

That works great, and I use the DX8 with my self level and GPS setup.

You can also leave self level on all the time and not mess with any tail or cyclic banks or radio switches.

I would just get 2 DSMX satellites. cheaper and very clean installation. I have a DX8 but to this day see no real need for telemetry.
