Thanks, that is actually very helpful. I'm about one and a quarter turns out on my main needle and everything is great in IDUP1&2. My mid-range, idle screw, whatever you want to call it is a full mm right of center. It looks like it's pointing from 10pm to 4pm if it was a clock face. I had to turn it this much or the engine would choke and die early during spool up. I've been reluctant to go any further, even just for a quick test.

But, I had re-plumbed and upgraded to a thicker blue neoprene fuel tubing that is more durable and accidentally used a higher diameter of tubing. I thought the inner diameter was the same as stock and that the tubing was just really thick, but I had moved up a size. I realized this when I picked up a header tank this afternoon, so I got the correct size of the same type of tubing and replumbed from the tank (through the new header) to the carb. Maybe there was just too much fuel flooding it a bit on spool up?

Hopefully this will make things better. If not, once I'm spooled up everything's great so I won't sweat it much. Thanks again.

Wow, long topic. The os 50 hyper requires NO break-in. ...at all. Just start the fire and open the carb!
