Default XXtreme forum

I have been getting a good bit of requests from new XX owners to make a separate forum for the XXtreme. I am asking again what you guys want and I will do it. The old POLL had everybody voting and not just the XX guys, and a lot of the XX guys are now contacting me to split off the XX threads.

Please let me know what you guys want and I will do it.

The first time this issue of came around, I was more or less neutral, but hinted that I thought it should all stay together.

But now that the model has come out, and see how the threads are developing etc., I'm more inclined to support splitting out the XXtreme from the Logo 400, 500 and 600 series.

splitting it will make finding information easier and also negates the need to have Exxtreme in al the topic titels

perhaps even split between logo 400 and 500/600 or is that blasphemy

I'm still in the all-in-one camp.

I'm not an XXtreme owner but would like a separate sub-forum. I'm stuck between the TDR and the XXtreme.

Maybe a poll for Xxtreme owners only would be beneficial. I don't own one so I really don't have an opinion. If the owners want it, I'd say give it to them.

It looks like there are no opinions to keep it together from XXtreme owners in this thread so the answer is quite clear...

Split it up.

Logo 400/500/600 and SE's share a lot of parts, the XX is all-new and from what I can tell, only uses the landing gear from the 500/600s.

Chris,

You are almost correct. Other than the landing gear struts (and nuts and bolts of various sizes), the only other part on the XXtreme that I've been able to figure out that is borrowed from the Logo 500/600, is the bearing in the XXtreme's counter bearing. It is the same bearing as the main blade grip radial bearing on the Logo 600.

Other than that, totally different heli.

The 400 and 500/600 are very different too!

IMHO its a shame to separate the heli's, because that means only more subforums to browse through.

Other than the frame and drive system, they are VERY similar. Boom sizes, tail case, tail, head, grips, etc. are all shared throughout the models.

The hard part comes when someone doesn't have a model that falls exactly in lines with the available kits ... i.e. a cut-down Logo 600 like mine that swings 553's on 6S.

I still think having separate forums, Logo 400/500/600 and Logo XXtreme, is the best setup and will accomodate the most amount of users.

Hmm I think the Logo Xxtreme shares the same fancy frame washers as the Logo 500/600 carbon fiber frame. I think that means that an Xxtreme could share more parts in terms of quantity than a Logo 400 and 600 do.

OK, I didn't actually count so I could be wrong, but i'm sure it's close .
