Singel or dual PSU for PL8x2
Would it be better using two 1500w meanwell psu's vs one 3000w psu?
I am thinking going with a 48V 3000W psu for my setup. But if its better using two 48V 1500W psu's i will have to consider if the price increase isn't worth it. |

Thank you. Its good to know its not harmfull to the charger or the supply atleast.
Two PSU's are quite a bit more expensive, $827 for two 1500W vs $483 for a single 3000W. Plus there is the added weight, almost double running two psu's. |

That's quite a bit of cost and weight savings.
I'm using a single 48V 1500W power supply myself. It won't max out my DP8x2, but for field charging I'm limited to a 2kW inverter generator. |

Given the price difference, the single supply looks like the better choice. However, I believe that unit requires 220v AC. So its a less attractive option for us in the states when we only use 220v in the laundry rooms and kitchens
