Default 3g & Dx6i

I was looking at a used 550e to buy. We tried binding it to my radio Dx6i the Rx is a AR 7000. It bound, but every time we tried to program the 3g setup the swash would drift, ie it would be level at center stick but would be off by about 2 deg left at full positive pitch. and then off by again about 2 deg at full neg pitch. Seems to work fine with the guys Dx7. So I'm wondering if you know of any compatability issues with the AR7000 & the Dx6i. According to Spektrum it's compatible with the Dx6i.
I'm assuming that the 550e 3g will work with the Dx6i. Do you think it's a programing issue, like mising steps, or maybe a compatability issue either with the Dx6i & the AR7000 or with the Dx6i & the 3g ? I won't buy the thing unless t works & flys on my radio. I'll by a kit if it's not a compatability issue between the Dx6i and the 3g and just build it myself.
Any info would be appriciated.

There should be no compatability issues with the dx6i, I used one with my 550 3G when I first started flying it.

Did you make sure your trims were centered? Subtrims?

The 3G will correct for swash interactions so no need to worry about the swash not being level at max and min collective

Yes. I'll re-try again tonight @ the shop. I read some other 550 3g forums and they said the same thing about the swash. We stopped the process when we ran into the swash tilt issue. Didn't look right to me & I didn't want to smash up someone else's heli
If we get it resolved I'll leave a post
Thanks

Did you try a rebind after setting you sub trims? Wouldn't hurt to try.

+1 always rebind after changing the subtrims then go back to dir mode and reset the stick limits
