Default How do you set DR and Expo for heli models in 5.5?

Hi,

I have RF 5.5 and am not sure how to set DR and Expo on the models. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Aircraft->Edit...->Software Radio->Channel1/2/4. Can set low and high rates.

Default Changing helicopter model for hover trainer

Thanks, very helpful.

I was also trying the Hover Trainer. Is there a way to select what helicopter you use for that trainer?

Thanks again.

Menu (~ - tilda)
loadvehicle <model name>

Make sure you enter trainer first, then use the menu.

Default No Menu in Trainer mode

When I am in Hover Trainer mode I am not seeing an option for the menu, nor does anything happen when I press the Menu button on the Controller. I am running Windows 10 and not sure if that impacts anything.

Hitting ~ (tilda) on the keyboard (nothing to do with the controller or interlink) will bring up a command line window at the bottom of the screen into which you can type commands.

Windows version makes no difference.

Oddly enough, this is an RF forum

One or the other, but not both. DX9 DR/expo and none in Phoenix, or NO DR/expo in DX9 and per model in Phoenix. There are arguments for either case.

For DR/expo in DX9:
- Control settings like you would a normal model.
- Switchable DR/expo in flight on the TX.
- Can play with throttle and pitch curves and flight modes unavailable in the model settings.

For DR/expo in the Sim model:
- Each model can be set up individually (larger craft are more stable and may need less exp but more DR for roll/flip rates than smaller counterparts).
- Easier TX/sim calibration (as TX is DR 100/expo 0)

I prefer DR/expo in TX, but that is my personal preference.
