I'm flying the Trex 600N-G4-V1_EA I found here somewhere in the swap pages of Knife Edge and love it. I had a couple problems with some of the other versions of the 600N locking up G4 but this one is faultless. Now to figure out how to change the canopy, skid colors.

got this off the knifeedge forums.
making a new CS isnt that bad

this is the copy and paste for ya

Load up the plane in G3.

The "Save" the colorscheme. Use the name that you want your NEW colorscheme to be called.

Now go into the C:\Program Files\RealflightG3\Colorscheme folder and look for a file with the same name as what you told G3 to save.

There will be two files there.

e.g.

Cap_540_bigblue.colorscheme
Cap_540_bigblue.tga

Edit the .tga file with a TGA compatible editor such as Paintshop Pro, Adobe Photoshop or "The Gimp"

http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

Make whatever changes you want.

Changes will often create additional layers.

Make sure that you flatten only the "visible" layers before you save the file.

You -MUST- "flatten" the image to get rid of the layers first.

Then save the file in exactly the same format it was in when you opened it.

e.g. 24bit, etc.

The bit depth and dimensions are important. They must be the same as the file started with.

That's it.

Open the file in G3 and no Rainbows if you saved it correctly.

Does anyone know if these models will work on the RealFlight Baisc? Just got it today and I find the Trex500 to be WAY TOO touchy. I couldn't imagine a real heli being that crazy in real flight. I have a 450 pro and it's nothing like that. I also have a 500 I'm building now and I doubt it'll be that bad LOL So will I be able to load this in my bag of helis? Thanks, Joe

Basic is just that, basic. You can't do much with it.

Switching to low rates is pretty much your only choice.

Even then i dont see how you'd do that? There isn't much in the Menu either. Feilds, helis, planes and exit hahaha SUPER basic. Well I guess if I can tame this beast I should be able to fly some 3D without flipping out. LOL

Just realized there is no dual rate switch on the Basic controller.

Sorry bud, you're out of luck ... this is why everyone says don't get Basic

Default Thanks for that advice

I D/Loaded this, and was impressed with it. I changed it to Elec power, no smoke, decent batteries for my own use.

If I can work out how to upload to the same pages, I will, but it is relatively easy to change -all the work was done by orig 'artist'.

Big props to them!

Does anyone have a good FBL 600n for 6.5? I downloaded these models and for some reason I'm getting a weird interaction where the more collective I give the model wants to impart forward or backward cyclic as well.
