Word, this style is the future of flybarless electronics, if not Helis as a whole. Finally no clumsy electronics and wires to add. I'm just worried about over pricing. Sure enough I'll buy it and next month I'll see if for half what I paid. I hope they aren't experiencing delays in development. I haven't heard anything.

Straight from Mikado:

The Mini VBar is available in the Summer. I cannot currently give you the exact date.

Thank you for your interest!

Whats a mini Vbar? Is it a Vbar built right into the receiver or just a cut down simple to program version of the current unit?

The mini v-bar is the way of the future, my friend! It's a v-bar (not cut down or simplified in functionality at all as far as I can tell) but smaller and all in one unit. What REALLY sets it apart from other 3-axis gyros are the 2 satelite receiver ports. You'll be able to hook 2 Spektrum satelite recievers directly into the unit, vanquishing all those messy servo patch cables! The servos and throttle channel then plug directly into the unit. It's a thing of beauty.

Mikado better be surprising us with a fair retail price an an early release date, this "some time in spring" and then "some time is summer" is getting ridiculous.

+1 for this : I sent a mail last week and received about the same answer :

"Hello Yves,

Thank you for your email.

The Mini VBar will be available in the summer.

The Software 4.0 will be available for download in April.

If you buy a VBar now you can upgrade it with the download in April.

With kind regards

Inge Lasser

MIKADO "

I guess poor Inge Lasser has to answer questions like these all day long...

Actually you are confusing two things here, the mini vbar and the 4.0 firmware. No dates or even seasons were given for the mini V, they did say spring for 4.0 and always that spring ends in May.
