The stretch belt is way more beefier than the regular one.
Even with aproximately the same tension, the regular protos drivetrain hasn't got the drag of the stretch.
It makes me confident, though...
I wish we could have a wider belt for the regular one (but not so thick)...

i searched in europe for a 5mm belt for the standard protos. nothing.
corrado posted in a german forum, that i should get the stretch kit with 430mm blades.

if anyone finds a 5mm belt for the standard protos, please tell me, i´ll take a lot...

in speedflight, i have 3100upm @ 17° pitch. no problem for the belt. but tictocs with these settings are a really bad idea... the main blade holders are wearing out in a minute...

now go and hunt the 5mm belt!

Why don't you want to go stretch with the 340 blades? I have and love it. Belt does need to be 1 or 2 cogs longer if you don't run the smaller tail pulley. It's tight with a 15T pinion, almost perfect tension at min adjustment. 8 flights so far, maybe it will stretch a little?

This is what you want:
http://www.bearingstation.co.uk/Prod...M/PHG1344-3M-6

pitch length = 1344
pitch = 3m
teeth = 448

Same as stock non-stretched except 6mm in width. Stock is 4mm in width.

Hmm. Pulley width is only 5mm. So you're only able to use a 4mm belt. 6mm width won't fit. A 5mm width I think would be inappropriate since you have no run-off left. So stock is your only choice.

Personally, I think with correct tension, the stock belt is fine. Good compromise.

Is the stretch belt just thicker and longer? Or is it actually wider?

There's quite a few threads on that already, but to summarise:

Lower disc loading, more hang time, bigger heli feel

The only reason I haven't stretched so far is that I have 2650mah batts.... I just ordered 2x 3000mah batts because the 2650's are dying and when they finally get unusable I'll stretch and buy 2 more 3000mah.

Longer, thicker and wider... A women's dream!

I prefer to see it wider than the stock one. It fills more the main gear and the pulley.

I remember Corrado mentioned a mould for the stretch belt.

One of the places I found does make custom width. But I would think it would be much more expensive.

It was loose at the back and the belt was skipping at the rear
I re adjust it and it was flying like a hero
I just put this video up to see when my belt is slipping
I'm waiting for the carbon frames and for the new screews
