Here's a great tip for you. For some reason Sharpie does not stick to batteries. I use nail polish or enamel paint.

I've had the same experience with sharpie ink rubbing off really easily on batteries. I typically write the battery number (I number all my packs) on the side or something which isn't likely to be touched by my finger nor will it rub on the frame when I insert the pack.

I use a silver sharpie and write the number on the plastic header between the tabs.

I write the number on the lipo with a sharpie too, but put scotch tape over it...last almost forever

Default Servo linkage lenght

Hi
The first post in this thread says that all linkages should be 25mm. I set my right and left to 25 mm and went to do the back one, it has a bunch of thread exposed and does not look like it will reach 25mm. Is the rear linkage required to be 25mm as well?

Smile Dynamic blade balancing, no hands method

I balanced my main blades then put them on the nano, I didn't notice a lot of difference in the vibes when I spooled it up. Then I tried the hand dynamic method, moving a bit of tape from blade to blade, placing it in different positions trying to feel a sweet spot while I held the heli in my hand, not bad but I wanted perfection. So had an idea to take off main gear, tightened blades in the grips, set them straight, then I lay heli on its side till blades were at 90 degree's ,I used iPhone level to achieve this. Secured heli with play dough so it wouldn't move from perfect level position. Then marked one blade with small dot, spun the rotor head till it stopped, made note of heavier blade, applied small piece of tape on lighter blade spun again, blades stopped spinning at dead level position. Re installed main gear, spun her up in my hand and I could feel no vibes at all. I have never felt it as smooth, and it hovered beautifully too

Great idea, must try!

Been away from helis for a year... what batteries are the most powerful now for the Nano (I'm running a brushless mild kit from Astroid).

Before I found the 200mAh from Micro Heli to be best, the Eflite 150mAh 35C second best.

Thx guys!

Current Nanos:
-Brush with MMW motor
-Brusless main
-Double brushless

I have a couple of good tips:

1) The MyLipo batteries are freakin' awesome!

2) Use "Bondic" glue to fix the frame, it sticks very well! And it's so cool to use - apply and cure with the ultra violet light!

3) The "HCP80" canopies from Banggod are super! Strong, light, cool & very cheap!

Yeah that's probably part of the reason yes. Not much 3D anymore, most guys are onto quads. I myself will never ever go over to the dark side though!
