Default Here is my contribution

Got it today....It's going to get an AR7200BX in addition to the Castle BEC. Give it a few weeks and it will be in the air. . It will have a place next to my other Protos 500.

I like how mine turned out.
Broke the skid on the bench today, will need to order a new one as it annoys me to no end.

I gave up on stock skids. They are light and can take some abuse but I want something more readily available. I removed both skids and filed down the nub in each D-hole. I then used some wood dowels from dollar store and press it into D-shape to fit thru the D-holes. For the final touch I just wrap the wood dowels with orange duct tape. See also my group photo a few posts above.

well I been having some fun with the protos 500 . its turning into the Frankenstein heli for sure .
I`m still debating on the swash anti rotation stop to fabricate but its almost done .
this heli will be using 515mm blades but I keep missing the Rail R-516 blades , continually out of stock.

Beautiful pics, I see you went for the Manfrotto heli stand

And really nice idea with the partially colored skid pipes, I may copy that!

Nice and clean setup! Nice servos! With the Brain down there, I suggest you get the CNC upper bearing block. On an inverted crash the mainshaft collar will punch a whole on the plastic upper bearing block and the mainshaft will shift down and crush the Brain.
