Default How is your Belt CP in the wind vs. your MCPX?

Heyas,
I have a little mcpx and she's brilliant in the wind, just sits there holding attitude in a 20kph wind, no worries.

I haven't flown any other choppers, except my stock Belt CP V2 - I've had her out 3 or 4 times, and so I've found it really challenging compared to the mcpx (and crash it every time). There is usually a fair breeze where I am, and I find I have to give big stick inputs (25% of full travel) just to counter the wind.
I'm pretty sure it's decently setup - spent ages with finless videos getting the servo arms at 90, level swash, and adjusted with the dx6i. I am using no DR just a bit of expo, and 80% swash mix - there appears to be plenty of travel in the servos.

Just wondering if this wind issue is normal for flybarred birds (coz I only have the fbl mcpx to compare to). Don't know if it's my setup, or if it's just because the Belt is a different beast and I need to adjust my flying to suit it.

Thanks

Did you fly idle up with 100% throttle in the Belt CP? I have similar experience that the little mcpx fair better in the wind than the stock Belt CP, may be the FBL controller makes the bird more stable at windy condition.

FBL is supposed to be a lot more stable in windy conditions so even though it's a lot smaller and lighter than your belt cp this probably explains why it handles the wind a bit better. I have an mcpx too but I've never flown in it more than a mild breeze, I fly my 450 in moderate wind and it can be a bit of a handful, it would be interesting to see how a 450 FBL holds up compared to FB 450.

I flew in IDLE UP with 80% throttle at midstick and 100% at full stick.... I'll give it a go at flat 100% this weekend. I measured the headspeed at 100% throttle and it was around 2300rpm, which I think is pretty normal.

Guess I just need to get used to the Belt..
