I would get them, it won't be to long before Dec/jan and no matter what you will need 7s 4400 or 5000 that won't change, what lipos are you getting and servos.

I'd wait. Might as well have em fresh and as much warranty as possible.
What if Dec/Jan comes and still no XX?

That's a tough question.. if you get the packs now you will be sitting on them until the xxtreme comes out. Like GimpyGolden said who knows how long that will be, could be three weeks or another three months. If you wait for the xxtreme to be released you will have to struggle to get packs before they are bought up by other people that are getting the heli. Imo the hardest period to buy things are from dec to early march. Nothing stays on the shelf long because of all the Christmas and tax return cash floating around. I would take a risk and go for it, I think mikado will have a small batch of kits ready for end of year shipping. I say this because in one of the mikado ircha vids inga said that the heli was finished and in production. She also stated that kits would be shipping by the end of this year.

I think you should wait until you have one in your shopping cart. It doesn't make sense to have Lipos at home and don't use them. They just get old... of course there'll be some great interest in 7s packs when it's out...
No one really knows when there'll be some XX available and which dealer get's kits. I was told that there's big interest and no pre-order.

If you keep the packs in the fridge they don't age too fast, but of course warranty is another issue.

I keep packs in the fridge too - six packs. I find they don't last very long though but at least I don't have to worry about warranty.

According to TP, there is a chemical in the packs that preserves them as long as they aren't charged or used. I think that's what some of the break-in flight stuff is for... breaking down that chemical.

TP told me that their batts have a 4-year shelf life if not charged. I don't know for sure if all batts are the same, but there is a really good chance.

Short story long... I'd hang out and watch for sales over the holidays and grab whatever packs you want for as cheap as possible.
