i solved the dimming issue , i had to make a dedicated ground and run a 2nd wire for that in the boom. i found some brass washers that fit the main gear. and found some brushes for the spinning contact.
my positive contact is on the main gear, and my negative is coming out the side of the main shaft, i drilled a hole and put copper tape around the boom, then attatched the wire to that. it looks really good, no dimming issues at all now, im glad i got this done because here in az the summers are really hot, and now i can go fly at night. and i dont have extra batteries to worry about . its all off my main pack. |
