Headspeed Diff with 704 firmware?

Finally got the goblin out this past weekend....

I'm having problems attaining my previous headspeed of 2250.

I did the proper reset..... then set throttle limits... programmed esc.....

then did 50% power til LED went out for initial gov set by the book as I always have....


problem is...

I was getting 2250 at flat 84% TC on old firmware..


now after 5 resets and attempts .... all with the same result ...the most I get even at 95% TC is 2175...

Any reasons come to mind?...

very frustrated....

right now I'm wondering if its battery related?

the batts were fully charged... and I tried 2 sets ...varied in speed a little but pretty much the same...




help.....???

I have been living with a max of 2213.....but it still bothers me why I cant get what I had??

I believe they mentioned some changes to the governing algorithm in the change log for the latest firmware.

Other than the head speed issue, is everything else working correctly?

Yes other than headspeed...everything else works great ...
Soft start is better .. And gov seems to hold the rpm well...

Can you really go to 95% tc with this esc??

Is there enough headroom doing that?

Manual days you can but .... I was at about 86% tc I think before firmware update and getting 2250...

If I went to 95% I might get close ..even wih a new algorithm or what not .. Still seems like a big diff...

I run 95% on all mine, and they work great :-)

Problem solved!!!!!!

for the heck of it .. I tried gov reset with my buddies goblin packs...

now at 86% percent TC I can attain 2270!!!!

all I can figure is I have a cell or two lagging on my packs at intial spool up...

and during gov set the slightly lower voltage is causing the esc to set with a lower speed due to lower voltage???
