Default Anti rotation arm

I just finished the build on my 700 and on the third test flight (hovering) I was transitioning from neg pitch to pos pitch and the antirotation arm came out of the guide. Needless to say she came down hard.

I have checked and double checked the bracket inst. and it is per the manual. Has anybody else had this issue?

I have also noticed that the swash lock arms are not level at 0 pitch. Could this mess up the geometry enough to allow the swash antirotation arm to come out of the guide?

The guid needs to be secured with a forward tilt or else the arm will come out.

Post a picture, something seems odd. At center I have 5mm of pin sticking out the backside of the guide. Even at the upper limits I have about 3mm of pin sticking out.

I think I figured it out. Thanks to my master building skills when I installed the head I put the bolt that holds it on the shaft on top of the shaft instead of through the hole.:

This in turn raised the head up and explains why the swash lock arms were not level.

Allowing the arm to come out of the anti rotation guide.

Operator error strikes again

The amazing part is that the entire head did not leave the Heli with the two clamping bolts as the only thing holding it on.

Thanks for the help
Steve

When installing the anti rotation guide, before fully securing the screws push the guide forward toward the main shaft (there is a surprising amount of movement possible) and then secure it to ensure that the anti rotation pin on the swash can't come out. If you install the anti rotation guide on the vertical, it won't be enough, it has to 'lean in' toward the shaft.
