Smile DX9 Stick Calibration...

Have had my DX9 since March. Has been very good, like the radio. Yesterday tuning my old TRex 600 converted to FBL with a new BK tail servo, started drifting backwards on elevator at hover ok in fff, thought it was the 3GX on 3.1. (No elev drift problems before on any birds)Increased elevator gain seemed to stop most but not all drifting. Got out my TRex 450L Dominator to fly it(4.0 ver) same thing backwards drift on elevator! Can't feel any other issue on birds. Haven't tried TRex 700 DFC V3 with vbar yet, will test today. Anyone know how to check stick calibration on DX9? Will call Horizon Monday for info.

Thanks Tom

Make a new acro model. Look in the servo monitor. Everything should read 0%. When you move the stick it should return to 0%

^^ Yep. Use the monitor screen. Your FBL heli model might work as well if there is no swash mixing (swash type "normal").

The calibration process is very easy once you get to it. It's buried under the System Menu > System Settings, and then keep choosing "Next" in the lower right corner until you get to the calibration screen. It's described on page 23 of the manual. The keys are to move the sticks in the shape of a plus + sign, not in circles, and move only one control at a time. If the DX9 makes a lot of beeping noise initially during the calibration process, it's because of the position the knob is in. Once you turn the knob fully one way and then the other way it will stop beeping.

Talking DX9 Calibration...

Thx for the input! Does each model have to be individually calibrated like Model Match?

Thanks Tom

Default recalibration

You guys just saved me boxing up my 180 and sending to HH , it wouldn't arm without right rudder input , recalibrating the sticks on my DX9 solved the problem!

Thanks a million!
