Yes, Jasmine. Makes it easy to replace parts without wires in the way. I like the light set up and video of yours. You could solder your wires to the main board like I did, and then you would not need to carry the extra battery.

I picked up a longer plug so I can put the battery on the bottom. The resistors and wires will stay up in the canopy.

I don't like the idea of running the LEDs and the main board from a single battery. On my main night bird which I've flown for years now, I run the lights with a BEC - actually pull from the RX - never had a problem with that one. However - with a 450 helicopter I wired the lights to the main battery because I was using the 12V LED strips, and... at the end of the first flight, the helicopter wigged out and jumped up and back almost into my face, at which point I instinctively slammed the negative pitch on the radio - and then it responded correctly, slamming into the runway...

So, I'm not sold on the single battery idea

Nice, I like that! I thought about useing four white blades. Paint two red, and two green as my orientation mythods. I like how you colored the arms.

Yeah, but I had the tape here, and it didn't cost me anything. Hmmmm, I'm curious, I doubt it weighs much but now I want to check with and without. I'm guessing < 2 grams.

Monokote tape is what I'm using to hold my lights on. It's hit and miss - sometimes it sticks really well and sometimes it likes to come off...

Yeah I had that problem to, I had to overlap then seal it with an iron, but that was on a carbon boom.. But on my canopies I use a ziplock bag filled with hot water and rub it on the monocote stuck to the canopy to activate the glue and help it stick, cause an iron would melt the canopy. But on carbon you can wrap it around then overlap and seal it...

I never thought of trying heat? I'm talking about the "trim tape" stuff... I didn't know it had any heat reaction?

http://www.monokote.com/trim.html (I use black and chrome)

It is really great stuff - much lighter than electrical tape and brighter colors. I use it to insulate connections if there's no chance of something sharp poking through. I will try warming it up though - it might make the adhesive flow a little better.
