Hi Ivor
I am getting crazy I follow up every instruction, but I when I move the throttle stick I do not have any response from the motor. With all the same wiring (with FM) if I change the model on the transmitter to the original one, the motor works!!! I am getting crazy!!! thank you |

JR XG8 (DMSS) FM setup
Dear All ,
I am new to the hobby and thats why i thought that going with the FM would be a good choice as it will help stabilise .. the heli .. What i have a *** HK-500CMT (TT) 3D Torque-Tube Helicopter Kit Align T-Rex Compat ** The Elevator servo in this model is back mounting ** The Aileron(Right side front) 1 and Pitch (Left Side Front) are in the front What I have done .. *** I have completed all the installation for the body as well as the electronics What is the problem : *** I want to know which wire from the FM will go into which receiver port My receiver port looks like this http://www.perthrc.com.au/images/detailed/1/1649.jpg Ports on my Receiver AUX2 Bind Batt Sense (Under the above line of ports) AUX1 "" GEAR "" RUDD ELEV AUX3 (Under the above line of ports) AILE "" THRO "" Please refer to the Link to see the picture. *** Some how with my present setup my elevator and pitch have switched while i am also not sure if the Gyro is working. (I am trying to start off on MODE 2 standard of transmitter) Any inputs will be appreciated. Regards |

FM plug with 3 wire goes to aileron on the receiver. Yellow goes to elevator on receiver. Orange goes to aux 1 ( pitch ) If the FM gyro is going to be used to control the tail then Grey goes to rudder and green goes to gear. Blue is used to select FM modes and set the gain and would normally go to aux 2 if it is a seven channel. Blue and green are best left disconnected during set up and flight testing. Please read the sticky ( please read first ) at the top of the section it is more up to date than this thread. |

No the programmer does not need batteries. Yes the negative wire on the servo's are closes to the edge. You will find the first sticky, Please read first. at the top of the page more helpful.

thanks Ivor.
though i still have this tail servo jitter which is quite unsettling. made a few adjustments on gyro gain ups/downs to no success. tried another servo, less intense but it's there. i do have another jr tail servo, but it's still at the post office that i'll pick up later and to try it. could it be my power supply? i'm using a BEC @ 6v/separate rx pack. maybe up the amp? so excited here since the swash is pretty level from mid to up and responds to tilts accordingly. i have to go to sleep now. just came out from a night shift. thanks again. |

The FM tail gyro can be made to work ok but is not very good. If you are using a digital tail servo then have a look at the Assam GA250 gyro. It is a tiny SMS gyro that works very well, it is easier to set up than the FM tail gyro and is very cheap, about £8 from the Hobby King UK warehouse or about £15 on Ebay. Will save you a headache and you will have a much better tail gyro. But first check that it is compatible with your servo. Hope this helps. |

so I did s no-prop spool up today.
FM flashes red everytime I power the heli. I have to connect to programmer then I get the green light. at times, I have a green light but no response to the servos! craps man. loading and reloading from saved memories and sometime from default with same result. is it my connections from Rx? need help. thought I had it. cause when it does responds to cyclic inputs, all's well. though random. |

Flymentor problem
I've been reading all the info on the flymentor wiring,my problem is I cannot get it to initialise, keeps flashing red which i think is it is not getting a signal from the rx.I even changed the rx,rebound it again nothing works except the tail which has a align gyro connected.I am using a DX6i and a spektrum 6200 rx and the heli is a trex450.Any suggestions?

Error codes
I know this system is quite old but mine has been operating faultlessly until now. After a minor accident on takeoff the flymentor now will not boot up and the led is flashing red.It pulses three times, pauses, three times, pauses etc and no response from the servos.I don’t know whether this was a cause of the accident or the result of it.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
