Here is my setup. I don't have any great pics yet to share.

CC Ice 120HV
10s 4000 mah setup
Scorpion 4035-630 with 13t pinion
Ace ds1015s on the cyclic and Ace ds606 on the tail
CC BEC Pro
Futaba CGY 750
8 ch FASST receiver with s bus

Had my first "real" flight with it today. I'm no 3D flyer yet so big air stall turns, loops and rolls on it for me so far. I love this heli compared to anything else I've flown! It is very smooth and quiet.

It's currently under rebuild since I had my ESC go up in flames but the specs are

VBar 5.3 Pro
DS610 on cyclic
MKS BLS980 on tail
Hobbywing 70HV (now to be replaced with K-force 120HV)
Scorpion 4035-530 (now to be replaced with Helidrive SK3 560kv)
CC Bec Pro on 6S
12S Turnigy 4000/30C

Looks like the motor is pretty close the bars around it? Or is it just the photos?

Here's what mine looked like when I ran a motor with 49 mm diameter

the quantum 4135 is 49.8mm and i have about 2mm each side clearance so hopefully wont be a problem, maybe your bearings have some play in them causing the can to move?

Nope, a Helidrive SK3 560 Kv. I'm quite positive that's solely from the frame flexing!

I'll keep an eye on mine then, only a few gentle flights so far...

I'm using this same helidrive motor, no similar problems. Also have the upgraded Al mainshaft bearing blocks and am using the bottom motor bearing support. Do you have both of these? Thanks.

Cheers,
TomC

I dont own any X50 anymore but it was stock bearingblocks and counterbearing installed. My guess is that it depends on how hard you fly in combination with how heavy packs you have.

Very sorry for your loss mate.

Not sure if this was the problem but you really need to clean the x50e spindle end-threads well as there seems to be a lot of machining oil on them. I just used some rubbing alcohol and rolled up bits of paper towel to clean mine (plus the end-bolts) before loctiting them in.

I do this with all my helis and with the exception of my original version mcpx I've never had any mainblade ejections, touch wood!

Cheers,
TomC
