No such thing as a V4, there is however a V3.1 comign with some minor tweaks to the bellcranks and added holes for cable ties and such also, new antirotation bracket, instead of he plastic thingy align has

After that, HEX800

New frames!

V3.1, has changes at the battery mount, its 10mm longer now so, some added protection,
More holes for twraps,
more holes for frame braces(not needed, but always comes in handy
Went back to the old bellcrank design with 5x9x3 bearings instead of 3x8x3 ones. no more slop.
New antirotation bracket, wich uses the ''old'' plastic mounting holes. so you can choose wich one to use.. it looks better with the frame. and now i have 0!! plastic frame pieces on it.

The newer ARB, lighter, stronger does allow for a little frame flex but thats minimal if you ad a frame brace(holes for it are there).(here still mounted on a V3)

Also, when you buy a framekit, you can have one of those nice keyring thingys

If you are interested in one of these frame kits, PM me.

Default Yeahhh Baby!!

Last week I (finally due to my own fault..) got the full kit for the Hex50E
Got the motor (Turnigy SK3 560) Kontronik 80HV (later about that) another pair of GensAce 3700mah 60C and some small parts @3D masters so the build was ready to go!
Build went smooth enough, although there was no manual and it was my first time setting up a Vbar (thanks for the help Nko!)
The pics:

Already looking Sweet!

Powered by HK

Sunday morning the weather was great so got to the field early to do the final setup and even had to solder a charge cable @ the field
After all that of course Nko had to do the honors of giving it it's true maiden.....
It was all good, I almost had to "make" him put it down cause the pack was brand new and not charged yet
My first go at it and well....
This is one awesome machine!! Power ohne ende, quick and very precise.
@ roughly 2250rpm it is stellar!! Way too fast for what I can do with it (gonna need to get used to that cause it's addictive )
@ roughly 2000rpm it still is awesome!
What really blew me away was @ roughly 1500rpm! No wobles, shakes or weird tail actions. Thanks to bankswitching still that crisp fast and precise feel to it.

I got to do 4 packs with it...Nr 5 was over really quick
Plugged in the pack and as soon as the connectors touched, poof! The Jive just blew up
Fortunately no other damage and Kontronik service has always been perfect (hope to get it back next week).

Triplets!

Just finished putting a YGE 120HV with Gryphon Quasar bec on it. Gonna try the Vbar gov on it, if it works as good or better than the Kontronik it will stay on it.....

Tomorrow I'll do the setup and hopefully after dinner do some testing.

Iwan

Question? I was wondering why you decided to use bell cranks? and how would you mount aileron and pitch servos if you wanted a straight shot to the swash? there doesn't appear to be enough space between the frame and the main shaft!

Looks like a mini 7Hv.
Almost make me want a T550.
My only worry would be replacement parts.

Looks like it won't work for a 600 ESP though

I went for Bellcranks, because it works and as you said, with the motor on top(best position) there is no room for direct to swash linkage. the ratio on the bellcrank/servo horn is 1:1 so its not noticable and the bellcrank system is made to be slop free using2 5x9x3 bearings per side.

What replacement parts? 550 parts are easy to come by, and 99% of the time, i have spare HEX parts laying around.

Yes, it does. just need to get the 550 bearingblocks, and mainshaft(standard 600 one will work but it will be taller), and the 550 bottom assembly(base plate, and 4 alloy pieces+rx tray), boom, head, swash, gears etc all will drop in from the 600.

Other upgrades will be shown in about a few weeks. im testing with a hybrid taildrive..(wich means belt+tt)

UP!

1500 flights have been reached on 1 of the systems

belt system failed after 300 flights, flanges on the ''bought than modified'' pulley kept coming lose...

But, i can now mill my own pulleys, wich have over 4000 flights on 4 different helicopters(with 3 different pilots, i own 2 of them)

I have to make some new pictures tho..
