Default BD 3SX on a BEAM E4 Adv SE 450 BL: Binding problems with the anti rotation plate

I have installed a BD 3SX on a BEAM E4 Adv SE 450 BL. The problem I ran into is that I cannot obtain more than 7° collective pitch without binding problems.
I have +/-10° elevator travel as suggested for the BD 3SX and when I use this travel to check binding problems with the collective pitch fully up and fully down, the anti rotation pin hits the bottom of the slot, or the ball link hits the anti rotation plate.
Apparently BEAM never tested this.

Is this a known problem?
Suggestions and solutions?
