Default Which Pinion?
Hi Guys

Just putting my new Furion 6 kit together and at the part where the pinion needs to be fitted to the motor shaft.
Just wondering which of the two kit supplied ones to use.


Running 12S with the following:

KDE 600XF G3 motor
Castle ICE 120HV ESC running external governor with Hobbywing sensor.
Futaba CGY 750 FBL system.

If you check the manual, there are pinion suggestions for both a 6s and 10s packs with representative motors. I think the suggestive motors have their Kv's given too, if not, just look them up

Multiply the Kv's by the number or cells in the respective pack. Do the same for your motor and 12s pack. Compare the results and choose the pinion of the manual suggestion that is closest to your result. That should be a reasonable way to start

Run the 12t. Should be good ... 13was for the 6s

What sort of headspeeds should I be aiming for in Id2 using this?
