My Mini Protos Flybarless setup is as follows
Skookum 720
Futaba R6108SB S-Bus RX
Hercules Super Mini BEC
Hyperion VX G3 3s 2600 mAh
Hitec HS-5065 Digital Metal Gear Servos (cyclic)
OUTRAGE OS7654T servo (tail)
Motor, ESC and blades (kit suppled stock)

I can't wait till its all put together and ready fly !
i'll admit that i'm the kind of guy that is very anal about the assembly of heli kits so this might take a little bit to get done.

Ok got my pretty dialed in, only 4 flights and this file is good to go!

Mikado Mini Vbar 5.0 Pro

Reference:

First off NO expo in TX, I am using the software expo!

Cyclics: JR 285MG, servo ball spacing is 13.6mm **Note 15mm is too much!** this will be case on Beast X or any other system in order to have proper full resolution! 7mm on tr ball also worked best, 5mm or less was less locked in!

TR: MKS DS8910 tr servo

Stock motor, 16T pinion and stock esc all used

This is advanced 3D file, all trims were zeroed out so you'll need of course to check your servo 90s, and make them your own, so this can be as reference or for you to load, but YOU MUST check your defelections etc PRIOR to first spoolup!!!
Suggest looking it as reference point if you allready have working 5.0 file.

I am running Futaba S-Bus so make sure if you are running Spektrum to make selections as well to check your center calibrations.

If you are using different cyclics and or tr servo, simply back down the tr servo common gain say 5-8 points to start as well cyclic agility say down 5-8 points then work your way up but this works solid on the Mini Protos in hard 3D flight for 100% sure!

Here you go, enjoy!!

15mm puts it out of the range for good resolution, and the heli flies WAY better with 13.5 on FBL, I assure you of this!!

Awesome. Can someone share how to hookup sb rx to mini vbar blueline pro.
I'm moving a R6106HFC to mini Protos, but I'd like to try the sb R6108SB rx.
So i plug servos to mini, then what wires between mini and sb rx ?

Thks

Plug the one cable between the Sbus connector on the RX and the RC on the Mini-Vbar. Your ESC cable should plug into the throttle channel (CH3) on the RX.

Your milage may vary on this.

Mine flies perfectly with 15 mm servo arms with MKS DS95 servos, and I am wondering what your V-bar collective throw and cyclic percentages are at with 13.5 mm arms? With 15 mm, mine are on the high side at 113% on both collective and cyclic, giving me 12.5' collective and 8' cyclic on the setup tabs.

With 13.5 mm, I would be well outside the recommended settings for a proper control loop on the V-bar.

Sure is peppy, but nothing that can't be adjusted to play nice via the agility slider.

They are pretty cool - quick, strong and reasonably priced. So far, quality seems quite nice. Nothing to complain about after 20 or so flights.

On my heli I have D202's...with short arms that dont have a 15mm option. I needed to put the short flybar version outer swash balls to get the vbar ranges closer to optimal. Seems 15mm would be a good arm measurement to use

Refer to post #9 my file is there.

Different servos have very different gear slack, distance throw etc, so yes of course this can vary. Now with the JR285mg this is what I found for certain, 13.5, anything over the numbers get way to small and it just does not feel near as good overall either.

Mine come in few days, kit is on the way...

R6008HS - T8 FG
µBeastX to try or going back to Mini Vbar V5 pro
cyclic MKS DS450
tail MKS DS8910
Stock msh "scorpion" motor & YGE 60 ESC
Turnigy 2200 3s 30C battery
SAB stock blades/Edges 325/RJX 325 - stock tail blades

Anyone have try the new MKS DS95i for tail ?
Specs seems ok : 0.038s/60 deg (6.0V) - 2.40 kg-cm (6.0V)

Do you know the correct distance of the cyclic servos balls for the µbeast resolution ?

I think the big Rave will remain at home for the rest of winter....sooo cute heli
