Default Help: Need new blades

Well after making a few mods to my swash (rod length adjustments) I was hovering in the back yard when I got too close to a tree. When I pulled back from the tree I wacked into another obstacle and poof. One pair of split FG blades.

Now I need a new pair. Any idea where I Can find a set? FXAeromodels is out of stock and I couldn't find anyone else that carries them.

You might check some of the online advertisers here like Helidirect or RCHover as they carry Lepton parts.

Bob,

Did that too. Every place I found that carries them is out of stock. <sigh>

Just a little update on blades,

More are coming from Hirobo, MAH is finishing testing and V is soon to be working on some. It will not be much longer then there will probably be an abundance of blade choices.

We are working to get more in here as fast as possible. It is sometimes like

Thanks

Ah well I guess I'll have to wait for a while as MRC is out of stock as well and they are on backorder.

Good thing I have other helicoptors to build/fly.

Bob,

Thanks, but I have decided to just wait a bit and work on my eHawk conversion. I'd prefer a set of carbon blades to the FG stock ones, so I think I'll wait around for a while until they come out.

As for the MS420 blades, they would need some large spacers to fit. I think they are a 6mm think hub and need to be at least 9mm to use with the stock spacers.

I confirm 6mm thickness at the root on MS420. What is the max thickness allowed by the lepton blade holders? I don't have one for the moment.

The spacer thickness needed for the MS 420's is .102". You will need two spacers each.

Actually, the MS 420's are great blades.

TMoore,

How would you compare the MS 420's to the stock blades? Are they more quite? How do they fly? More responsive, etc? Can you take a pic so we have any idea how they compare physically in size and dimension to the stockers?

Tim,

Got anymore of those spacers handy. With a set of those I could try a set of MS blades too.

FYI...FX Aeromodels was showing the main blades in stock a few minutes ago for $68 a set.

Also, they carry 2 version of the MS420's. One version without spacers and one version with spacers. I ordered the version with spacers and I'll post back if they are actually the right size.
